Spiral Eye Bio

My name is Royal Meservy. I am married to Elizabeth-the most amazing woman in the world! and I have a daughter, Grace, age one. We currently live in Savannah, where I attend SCAD and work at the Hunter Army Air Field.

I have lived most of my life in L.A. That's right, Lower Alabama itself! I work for Boeing maintaining a simulator and other software junk. My dream is to make art for a living--be it computer or traditional art. Just something where I can play. . . and get paid for doing it. I love M.C.Escher, impressionism, a little surrealism, and my wife.

I graduated from high school in '96 and took a year of CS classes at the UAH where I received pretty poor marks. :( Then I went served a two year mission in the northwest half of Colorado. :) I've been all over that state and learned quite a bit. For instance, Boulder, CO, is the last great stronghold of the hippies! Anybody who's been there and to the Pearl Street Mall knows what I mean. Anyway, serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the absolute hardest thing I have ever done so far, and also one of the most rewarding times of my life. Never have I had a chance to impact the lives of so many people every day as I did then.

Anyhow, I came home in March 2000, was blessed with this great job at Boeing right away, tried to date a few girls that didn't like me, and then met and married my good wife, Elizabeth!
